Amazon.com’s annual Amazon Prime Day megasale began Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 3 a.m. EDT (0700 GMT) and will last two days. Space fans can expect to find deals on binoculars, kids’ telescopes, space-themed home decor and toys. Here is a roundup of our favorite sale items for space lovers.
The deals are only available to people with an Amazon Prime account. Prime costs $119 per year, but users can try it free for 30 days.

A step up in tech from the AstroMaster 114EQ, the Celestron 114LCM is very beginner-friendly and offers higher magnification of up to 167x as well as the ability to automatically find more than 40,000 celestial objects with its GoTo mount. It has a good aperture offering solid observations of the cloud bands and moons of Jupiters as well as brighter nebulas. The only thing we’re not big fans of is that it feels a little lightweight, but it’s still a terrific telescope at this price.
